Diagnostic:

Finally get to the bottom of the problems with your troubled computer using American Computer Telecom's Advanced Diagnostic Services. This is the first step we take with every single system that comes into our shop. We will test all software and hardware on your computer, then diagnose and explain to you any problems your system is having. We will provide you with an estimate for all necessary work, and also recommend upgrades for faster computing. You will never pay for the diagnostic service, unless you choose to not have the work done by us. Some of the most common computer services we provide are:

System Clean-up:

We will scan your computer for spyware, adware, malware, viruses, worms, and Trojans and remove all unwanted threats and infected files. In addition, we will do a total clean-up on your system including repairing & updating files, and removing unnecessary programs to speed up your computer start-up. Viruses are generally contracted through download media such as music, videos, and email attachments.

Data Backup & Recovery:

How often do you backup the oh, so important data on your PC? If it were suddenly damaged, lost or stolen, would you lose valuable data? Personal Photos, Music, Movies & Literature... We recommend installing a rewritable DVD burner or an external hard drive so you can back-up your data on a regular basis. Along with instructing you how to back-up your data properly, we also offer data recovery services where we can recover lost files as a result from hardware malfunctions, software conflicts, or viruses. Even if your computer won't turn on, bring it in, we'll tell you if your data is recoverable. Leave the headache to us! Keep your computer safe, and use data backup as a form of protection for your computer.

If you have two or more PCs in your home, have you considered networking them? A network allows your computers to share files, a printer, and an internet connection. Even better yet, a wireless network is the cutting-edge way to connect all of your home computers. Wireless networks are perfect for people who want to connect laptop and desktop computers or for people who don't' like to be tied down! When you go wireless, you won't have the inconvenience of tripping over unsightly cables. Also we find that wireless is just easier! We recommend either Verizon or BrightHouse Networks for your Internet Service Provider. We find that the dial-up programs run into a lot more issues with software updates etc. We are Authorized by BrightHouse Networks to have cable and/or high speed internet installed in your personal home, and we're Authorized by Verizon to re-sell their services to our Commercial Customers.

Upgrades:

Is your computer several years old? Is it slow to boot up? Are you running out of storage space? We can help by taking a look and upgrading some of the key components of your computer, such as memory. Even if your system is fairly new, you may need some enhancements to accommodate your growing collection of media(photos, music, video games etc.). Unsure if your computer is upgradable? Simply bring it in or call us! We'll give you all the options available to make your system run more efficiently.
